Masked Truth
A Poem by
Samantha ~virginpoet
Stephen said "We as writers hide behind words" .... Some more than others they build them like brick walls Some mask them with erotic verses drowning the truth with sex Some hide them wrapped in complex metaphors Some like me do both Because I am scared to hear my voice crack and feel the emotion seep out my eyes So I became a poet to let it seep out of my pen So you can taste the salt and iron in my words As you lick me from the pageBy Samantha Pruitt

As always, your end fascinated me. You write like a thriller.... leaving the best impact in climax

Strong piece Sam. If we write in our own name we are most certainly opening ourselves up.. What we try to hide seeps out in our ink eventually. Great poem. shallimarRose

We don't hide behind words so much as we reveal ourselves in them.
