Lies

Lies

A Poem by Samantha ~virginpoet

The thought of his eyes
use to make me blush and drip
but now the mere thought
of his eyes makes my skin crawl away
from this body broken

How do I stand strong
with lies pressing down on me
filling me will doubt

How do I move on
from trusting 200%
to questioning everything he says

What the f**k
am I supposed to do
when all I can do
is wonder if this
is another
Jedi
mind
trick

Lies hurt even little white lies

I have always believed you without question or a single little doubt filling my head ... I hope I can get back to that

This is epic.. i loved it, it's a unique way of saying i'm tired of being fucked with. Good stuff Sam, I hope you get back to that 200% trust too. Hopefully he proves to you that he deserves your trust. Really good poem though Sam, seriously, It was different from your regular writing but it was also as good or even better. Thank you for sharing. Different emotions spark different styles of writing, I feel as a poet you should go through every emotion and situation to acquire your full potential, you're an amazing writer.

Oh, the joys of dealing with a manipulator- the worst thing about them is that they always bear a charming facade and seem extremely caring and kind at first. This is definitely a sad poem and I hope the speaker gets out of that destructive situation for the sake of his or her peace of mind.

There are so many liars out there, in fact do you know what I am pretty sure everyone is at it, its just a question of who is best at it. Again your piece is very sad, perhaps a reflection of a real life situation or else very realistic fiction. Great write

So true..
Trust one gone, comes never back....
Doubting someone's feeling rather than the person is hurtful game...

I love this. No matter how much you may love and believe that one person, if they lose your trust just one time, it takes some time to trust them again. We've all lost trust in someone dear to us, at least once. And that's not bad. Because two things can come out of it: Either that person will regain your trust, making your love and relationship even stronger than before, OR - you may realize that you should never have trusted him/her in the first place. Great job!

Isn't it always the way, we live our lives surrounded by them, good piece.

Well this poem shows well the seed of distrust as it pushes up through the soil of ones foundations. Both lies and truth hurt, but not quite the same. Ideally we all would like to trust 200% but if experience counts for anything it usually is just that, an ideal. Not trusting someone 100% doesn't necessarily make you a bad person in my book, we must question things in life everyday. I know I've thought something was so solid and true before only to find out later when I wasn't so invested in believing it to be true, that it wasn't true at all. When it comes to relationships though, it is most definitely the hardest to tackle because it is personal and emotionally directing. That's when some objective understanding must be utilized. Try and look outside of the relationship, as an observer at the life of the relationship past, present and future. In the grand scheme of things, is there enough solid foundation to withstand the sort of lie that, may or may not have been told, or would the sort of lie belie something greater, like a pattern of lies or, a lie about something that a foundation is built upon. If the lie, wouldn't effect a desired outcome of the said relationship, then perhaps, it should be addressed and forgotten, if not, as painful as it might be in the present(and near future) the relationship should be ended as it currently exists so that there can be freedom to seek more of what each party wants. As you can see, I have found your poem well written and very thought provoking. Good luck with your conundrum.

lies are hurtful. People don't realize that even little lies make it hard for people to see you as a truthful person. Whether it is good or bad lies hurt the confidence in a relationship...
