Fragile Memories

Fragile Memories

A Poem by Itchytasty

Scars stay with us until the end
their weight sinks us into the sand
whay can't we leave this behind and be happy

tears ran dry
our fate remained the same
is it my fear and arrogance to blame
why can't I put the past behind
and say sorry

fallen from this tower we climb
decived by a fallacy
crippled by the sands of time

I long to hear a melody
to sway me from the past
break this veil over me
let me see the beauty
make it last

fragile memories
come and go so fast
plagueing our cognition
feint echoes from the past

you stayed by me
day by day
loved me when I
treat you this way
how could you love someone like me
am I worthy

red roses withered away
a precious love
victim to decay
will these scares fade
will they haunt me

fallen from this tower we climb
decived by a fallacy
crippled by the sands of time

I long to hear a melody
to sway me from the past
break this veil over me
let me see the beauty
make it last

fragile memories
come and go so fast
plagueing our cognition
feint echoes from the past

alone again broken
fearful of the pain
hollow in side
I wish to feel again
will I ever escape my past
learn to love again
a love that will last

About
I've always had a love for deep emotional poetry and lyrics. I've always had a notebook filled with poems which I used as an outlet whenever I feel down. I suppose this is just me putting myself out t.. more..
