This was a school assignment I made into a poem thing. I liked it.
In the... In the light of the shining Moon...
In the touch of my lover's Lips...
In the hue of the golden Autumn...
In the scarlet petals and soft scent of the Rose...
In the onyx feathers of the Raven...
In the misty world of my darkest Dreams...
In the recessed of my Escer-ean Mind...
In the depths of the precious Emerald...
In the immaculate silence of a winter Forest...
In the sight of the sunset, the soft vanilla Sky...
Dwells my love, my heart, my soul...
I really like this. It almost seems like a love ritual. The words also seem like a mystical code - very evocative. The pictures it creates in my mind are connected with all that is ancient and connected to Cernunnos. But then, I have my own poems about him.
I like how each line is seperated from the others, with ellipses and subject, but they are all connected by the parallelism, and it makes me wonder what they all have in common? Then bam, you let me know at the end, with "my love, my heart, my soul." I like the structure. As far as the individual lines go, this was my favorite:
I like the style of this poem. It's simple, but I think that works well with the strong images. They're vivd, colourful, and fresh. It's a nice contrast.
