My Haiku, Vol. 1

These are some of the Haiku I have writen over time. Many, in my opinion, are quite good. Keep in mind when you read that Haiku is written to express wonderment over a single instance, a moment in time, one note. Most are self explanatory. However, s

"

 

1. Creeping, crawling, slow

on thousands of ghostly feet;

the pale morning fog.


2. A gray, empty field;

a single tree simply stands

lonely, cold, but brave.


3. The silent pale moon

glances down at the world;

a cold and dead sight!
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Two Shining Blades
in single fire forged;
one blade shatters.

 

5. A Raven flies;
a feather falls, lands
on the moon.


6. A gray mist,

one drop, ripples;

fall rain on the lake.


7. Sand through fingers;

flow of time continues on;

the rushing river.


8. I go to sleep;

my eyes close to dream

and open on heaven.


9. A single note

the mournful bamboo flute;

THIS is haiku.

 

10. Through darkness, to death,
The lantern goes on its way;
The moon overhead
