Your infamous for starring in my songs

Your infamous for starring in my songs

A Poem by Eden

you shine, my god you shine so bright
it's a death sentence once i see your light
and i try to look away for my sake
but with the help of this liquor
tomorrow i won't wake
i won't wake

i've been watching you fade
i haven't seen you around much
as the skies turn to grey
and i wonder if this was just a phase
but you say to never speak of such
never speak of such

i sang you a song
but i suppose the melody never made it that far
now i'm standing on the ground
watching you float away
and though you plan on waking me in the morning
i know i just can't stay
and this is what you've wanted all along
goodbye my sunshine, the night will come before you dawn

i hope life finds you better days
so you can forever shine this way
and no matter how far your call
know that i will always catch your fall
and how could something oh so right be so damn wrong
the lyrics just never came out right when we sang our song
and tomorrow will be here before too long
and tomorrow will be here before too long

how is it you've got a hold
on such a bitter heart
nothing can get me down like this
but you really did pull me apart
and i guess you can see that night is coming soon
and i guess that's why you're fighting, fighting off the moon

I sang you a song
but I suppose the melody never made it that far
now i'm standing on the ground
watching you float away
and though you plan on waking me in the morning
i know i just can't stay
and this is what you've wanted all along
goodbye my sunshine, the night will come before you dawn

and on your way home
you tried to rise
but i never rose
and you sang our song
like it never grew old
and i cried and cried
but i never budged
i knew this is what it took
for you to finally say enough
you did what you did
now i'll do what I have to
i'll do what i have to
(i'll do what i don't want to)

I sang you a song
but I suppose the melody never made it that far
I'm standing on the ground
watching you float away
and though you wanna wake me in the morning
i know i just can't stay
and this is what you've wanted all along
goodbye my sunshine, the night will come before you dawn...
