Matter of Time

Matter of Time

A Poem by Dai (Pronounced Dye)
"

Dark, Suicide, dying.

"
Death knocks at my door, he looks so amazing.

I'm in the bathroom tub bleeding and he's patiently waiting

Guess it's my time to go but I'm not complaining

I called him here today so he can come take me.

Tick tock
Drip drop

To the rhythm of the clock
My life in ending

No worries...
It's too late for someone to save me.

This is fantastically well written. From the offset you can tell the female is awaiting death the way someone awaits a hug from an old friend,or a warm mug of tea after a long day.
There's some romantic undertones as well, like she's welcoming death in a fanciful way. I'm not sure if that was intentional but it makes for very intresting reading.

An unique take on a serious subject matter. Nice work.

I loved the first four lines. To me they seemed quite 'bouncy' in contrast to the subject matter - a contradiction I really enjoyed. They really put the picture inside my head.
To be honest, I didn't entirely enjoy the 'Tick...ending' section of the poem - but loved the final too lines, which I think are a great ending.

I agree with the other reviews. Very emotional. I like it.

I think this could do well with more imagery.
But it's got the bones of a good journey.

this is quite the sad and painful write here. Emotions are well expressed.
