RosesA Poem by Requiem BaneThe truth behind the image...Roses, Such lovely things to behold.
All dew and fragrance,
Yet sadly, this rose is a lie.
Under the lovely petals,
Amidst the green of it's life stem,
There are sharp and cruel things.
Thorns.
Painful and unfair to the one who wish to hold it.
Thorns are no longer as painful,
Roses are no longer as bright.
The image has become a lie. © 2009 Requiem BaneReviews
