Patrons of Lost CausesA Poem by Requiem Bane"For Jesse, because she's the one who inspired me to write deeper then 'once upon a time...'."
We got to break the ranks,
Stand in front of tanks.
Anything to stop the fighting and violence,
Is it worth this dead and cold silence?
These are the patrons of our world,
Of the lost causes we face.
Of the toil that plagues this race;
Porn, stealing, murder,
Rape, global warming, drugs.
Sex, Media scandals, money,
Fakes, w***e, democracy.
Religion, cancer, poverty,
Disease, government, AIDS.
Society, gangs, sloth,
Lies, World hunger, anorexia.
Discrimination, malaria, world “leaders”,
Hating, templates, anger.
Pollution, gasoline, racism,
Sexism, pride, bulimia.
Death, torture, pedophiles…
Can you name anymore?
How can we stand here in a door?
Blocking the way for us to compromise,
It’s what we have to do to survive.
Break society’s ranks,
Stand before the symbolic tanks.
Stop the violence,
Break the silence.
