A Poem by Danielle Asher

I don't write for you

despite the closeness

though we touch

occasionally a kiss

words uninspired don't put ink on the page

neverthelss, evoke a smile

a curiosity,

a sensation,

nonetheless, you provoke my thoughts

missing you when we are apart

still not rushing to reunite

words uninspired yet prompted

this verse

words uninspired yet prompted
this verse --- Boy, I can so relate to this...words uninspired, yet prompted this verse. So true. That probably explains all of my writing! :D

Life is such a funny thing, isn't it? Have you ever watched a butterfly emerge from a cocoon? They struggle, struggle, struggle, but that struggle is what opens their wings, clears their airways of debris, etc. If they were 'helped' with the 'escape', their wings would be misshapen, unable to carry them into flight, and they would become listless and die. It's the struggle that makes them strong and beautiful. Just as your struggle has made you stronger, and more beautiful...

Great write!
