A Poem by Danielle Asher

I dreamt that you wrote for me

you presented forgivness

begged

how much i wanted to bask in that light

start again like spring

stand in the rain and wash it all clean

when i awoke....

(you already know the next part)

the feeling of heaviness for what is not with me

not for me

lingering always

only made real in a dream

the place where i still touch you

still sing for you

touch me

in time all there will be left to do is sleep

Aw!

the feeling of heaviness for what is not with me - What a perfect line. An apt description of how we feel upon waking sometimes, or for what we think we want but do not have.

Good job!

PS: I love the photo!
