Blow out your Candles

Blow out your Candles

A Poem by Danielle Asher
"

another year, another one gone

"

Happy Birthday

Blow out your candles

and have no regrets

maybe one

the friendship that could have been

in your last year the things you let go

her

a new found old friendship

true friendship

could have been should have been

needed some glitches worked out

everything does

Eyes cleaned

New start

or an ending

Instead patterns presented their patterns

Abandoning yourself

Truth is hard to face

Friendship is too real

She is too real

Blow out your candles

Smile

maybe this year you won't get burned
