A Poem by Danielle Asher

You would not invest in me

Now you invest it all

Elsewhere

Is she a bigger, better version of me?

(Or should I say smaller?)

Do you read her the same poetry?

Generic culture that would be preserved if you did not abuse its beauty

The same lines to every woman

You helped shape me

2 years with you was like a crash course university

Ardent, Checkov, Dylan, Farve, Nietzsche,Gandhi

We traveled Manhattan

You traveled without me

I certainly do not regret our separate departure

There was just so much more to learn

Many questions left unasked

Answers Obvious

i feel separation
the end of departure
