going back

going back

A Poem by Danielle Asher

The poison flows through my veins

Just enough

But I do not die

I do not collapse

I just drag on

Uninspired

Clouded

I’m not in love

(not anymore)

He and I are that feeling

When your toes reach the edge of the cliff

Looking over

Wide eyed

Your stomach swirls

Death or life

A combination

A thin line to dangle

Provocation
