Once Again We SwamA Poem by Danielle Asher
It took one question One reason was given why I needed to stay Control Gaining back empowerment Filled with a different kind of chill A familiar one The book dropped to the floor Buttons opened Little Red Riding Hood lost her cape Seeing the wolves teeth were larger and Hungrier than ever She too was so thirsty Item by item the floor was a sea of things you find in the closet Once again we swam Surrounded by the water Engulfed by the weightlessness Your eyes never left me Laughing Smiling Leaving you by the shore I smile when I think of you © 2008 Danielle AsherFeatured Review
