A little here, A little there

A little here, A little there

A Poem by Danielle Asher

Doing everything to fight it

The music creates a feeling of coming unhinged

A little here

A little there

My heart has stopped beating

But my blood is still pulsing through my veins

I have a cough

Even if I am no longer breathing

My eyes are burning

But my appetite comes and goes

I am not biting my nails

But I am swallowing my water alright

My skin is still abnormally warm

And my head is

I should not say

Feeling stuck

Still ticking

The music creates a feeling of keeping it together

A little here

A little there
