the fields where you once kissed meA Poem by Danielle Asherremembering a perfect kiss, a perfect love. what does any of it really mean?
I saunter through the fields where you once kissed me Would you kiss me now? Urgently without holding back a single desire Like the days when we kissed with wanton care If only you could kiss me now The wind hit my face My hair blew wild The biting wind made my cheeks red and my ears sting My lips stayed warm remembering Could you kiss me now? Be like the wind Overtake me Connect so closely to my face Feeling it within From the fervor of your breath Is it all nostalgia? Or will we walk here together again Are the trees waiting to bloom for us? The flowers wait for no one All the same the benches are companionless As I saunter through the fields where you once kissed me © 2008 Danielle AsherReviews
