Recollections of the Green Door

Recollections of the Green Door

A Poem by Danielle Asher
"

somethings that people say just do not leave you alone. This was from a fun, short, exciting moment in my life. It was so short, I can't even call it a time in my life.

"

I like you too much for that to happen.

We have to do this again.

We have to do it right.

I just want to sit and talk to you.

If you think I am hitting on you I probably am.

The last thing I want to do is offend you or anyone.

Don’t forget to tuck her in and I will see you in the morning for bagels.

I get jealous even if you are talking to an 80 year old man.

This is not a very good way to start the New Year.

I am thrilled every time I see you.

Your friend is the sweetest girl I have ever known.

This is my wife…

You stole my bike.

This is my friend the Architect.

I am going to kiss you now.

I am the one that gets hurt.

You are the one that can loose everything.

Now you are sitting so far away from me.

I have 56 first cousins.

Ring ring.

I can’t stop thinking about you.

You like this song? I put it on.

Our love is here to stay.

I have 36 first cousins.

What if in a year from now you are married?

Nothing is set in stone.

I used to be a free spirit. What happen to that?

Infatuation.

I have a feeling we would be so much fun together.

You have such pretty eyes.

What kind of person do you want to be?

Do the right thing.

I don’t want to be miserable everyday.

I should be so mad at you.

I do not want to grow up.

I’m in-between the serious and the fun.

I love museums and art.

Very bad bad words come out of my mouth when I get dropped from 150 feet in the air.

Stop.

It’s a drug addiction.

Feeling grounded. Calm. Frenzied all day.

Say you will see me on Sunday.

Ciao! What the frig is that?

I googled you.
