Crossroads, a metaphorA Poem by Danielle Ashera night out, unexpectedly bonding with old friends and other such things that go on...

Leaving friends behind to find them again in a new way
It may be about discovering more about yourself,
It could be seeing the true colors in others
and learning which colors match best with yours
Certainly you are a navy to my black
Some people seem not to change
yet some hit high notes you were not expecting
Some friends you only knock b***s once in awhile
The girls are smarter than us, They really miss each other
Others you feel relief to hear family member’s health is well
making you come to realize that you had so much more invested than you ever knew
Sometimes it is just an old song you listen to and smile
or listen to and question the past
My best friend didn’t sleep with my boyfriend just twice, dah, it was through out the entire relationship and it took me 15 years to figure that out
Forgiveness can even sneak up on you at times you did not think you would ever forgive
Some you would not expect to be the one to encourage you
to do the thing you know you need to do
Give me the Danielle Asher show, Sing girl, Sing! And I will be there, everyone will because so many people love you
(F**k when I lost my voice, even Jennifer encouraged me…)
A day at the beach
A lunch
A phone call
A song
A hug
A bracelet
An email
A question, “How you doing, really?”
A picture
A memory
A laugh
A church
A bar
Some things just bring you back together.
Even if it is only for a little while
and a baileys.
