If Only He Knew

This is a poem I wrote like a year ago about a guy friend of mine who I almost dated but he never got up the courage to ask me out and I kept hoping that he knew how much I liked him.

If Only He Knew

If only he knew,

How much I really cared.

Then maybe someday,

We could be more than just friends.

If you only knew,

How much my heart pounded at each hug.

How every time I looked into his eyes,

My heart melted.

If only he knew,

How much I longed,

To feel his warm lips against mine.

If only he knew,

That I trusted him completly.

And that he could do the same.

If only he knew,

That every night,

I picture his face,

And that I don't want to forget it.

If only he knew,

That I cherished every moment

That we spend together.

That I feel like,

We never have enough time together.

If only he knew,

What I long to tell him,

Every time we talk.

If only he knew,

Then maybe,

Just maybe,

Things would be different.
