Alone

Alone

A Poem by Savior knowmore

Desolate lands, dry and lifeless

No clouds fill the sky, no hills nor valleys dot the land

No fish live in what little water there is

No critters roam the waste land nothing breathes the stale air

I stand alone in this void

Without friends or family to keep my company

Whether they never existed

Or merely left; I don’t know

I alone, survive in this world

Cursed to walk alone forever

Never to meet another soul

I ache for their company

Causing endless pain to be endured alone

Yet I cannot be the last, can I

Am I truly alone in the world,

Without friend nor kin

One more time, I begin my fruitless search

Yet again, I realize I’m alone

Without company, nor friend, nor family

I am truly alone in the world

Yet I cannot help but long for a love, requited
