Death - Part 2A Chapter by Dewella~VintellaA Raina Drew story
Raina startled as his chest rumbled under her hands; He groaned and tossed against the floor, her fingers tracing over his shirt as he moved. Then his eyes opened slowly and locked onto her. Death, she saw her death in his eyes, maybe before he would have still taken her without harm; But once Raina had pulled that trigger and the first bullet had slammed into him she was just another human. One more morsel to sink his teeth into.
He would too, she could see it in his eyes. He couldn't wait to taste her, couldn't wait to feel the life draining out of her body, feel her blood convulsing down his throat. With his intentions floating clearly through his eyes she was horrified and didn't have time to react as he moved. His hand clamping over her leg, sharp claws biting into her flesh. "I love you Raina, I will take great joy in tasting your blood till the last drop, and making you my love forever." His fangs glinted through all the blood as he came at her. Raina screamed as he bit into her, bleeding her from her neck with fangs, and her leg with his nails; draining her life away in a duo of pain. "No!" she screamed as she felt herself falling; And then a glorious light stung her eyes, and forced her to turn away. Raina was blinded, but she no longer felt the pain of his teeth and nails inside of her. There was screaming, a high pitched wail of terror and agony. She peeked through her lashes at the sound, and froze at the sight she saw. Thomas was burning, flames licking every inch of his body; Her hands were at his shoulder and yet she did not feel the searing of the fire, even though it engulfed her skin to the wrists. In fear Raina pulled her hands away, only to have the fire follow her, licking at her hands with no outcome. She stared in horror, watching the flames bob and waver, sparking in the air as it seemed to sit in her palms. When his cries stopped she turned her head towards him in a shocked state. He was no longer there, the only evidence of the fire was a pile of ash on the floor, and what she still held in her hands. "This cant be happening." Raina whispered to herself, her voice seeming to echo through the now silent house. Sending an eerie chill down her spine. Then there was the sound of sirens, shouts from the front door as police came bursting in. The fire from her hands dissipated and she sat there, dumb founded by the events that had taken place. "They are dead, all of them, gone." Tears started falling from her eyes as she stared into space, unblinking. Raina pulled away from the memory then, flinging away the tear that has escaped her eye. She hated that part of the memory, because it was something she couldn't wrap her head around, even thought she had witnessed it with her own eyes, she still couldn't believe it. Fire had truly bled from her hands; She had set him on fire, burning him alive, while the flames only seemed to welcome her skin. Licking at her in a fuzzy tingle. There had been no pain, she held no burns from where the fire touched her; Yet she had held it in her hands, as if it was a part of her. After the police found her she had thought to be convicted as the murderer. There was no evidence Thomas had been there, and her body was covered in the blood of her family. There had been no accusations though, she had only been rescued, and sent to a foster family till she turned eighteen. Raina had never told the police about Thomas, and they had never asked what happened; It had been a cover up, the community told the murdered was still out there, unpunished for his crimes. She had never understood it; It didn't matter though, she knew the truth. Thomas was a vampire and he had murdered her family; And she had killed him. © 2011 Dewella~Vintella |
