This is probably because I was just doing some research into Heterochromia Iridum, but this poem paints an interesting picture about someone with eyes of gold and emerald green.
In this tale, there are two people, and one is the bearer of these gold and green eyes that are fierce and piercing. With these eyes, the person is able to see into the soul of the other. They've shared many life experiences together and the one finds the other brilliant, but feels that they know them too well, that their "brilliance bares too much".
Very cool that I got that just from four lines.
