Lovely Lies

Lovely Lies

A Poem by Dewella~Vintella

Cross stitched corsets,
Morbid molests.
And these Lovely Lies are sad compny.
With wrought iron whiskers,
pleasure bleeding blisters.

And oh, these sorrows so sweet,
lay blossoms at  my feet.
Frosted and forlorn,
baying calls of the horn.

And this, a kiss;
poisoned passings.
Only shadows,
careful castings.

With bashful beating of my heart,
scars tissue torn apart.
I wither, and wait;
Souls begin to coagulate.

This night, in distant wake.
Rapid ruins and wicked sake.
And oh, I will always remember you,
my mind you took and did so slew.

And oh, how lovely are these lies;
Coming closer to your cries.
Sweet honey dripping dew,
mising moments,
if we only knew.

This poem is made of epic win. You get double the epic points because the format of the poem makes it look like an upside down Bishop piece in chess.

Seriously though, this has such haunting agony in it. It reminds me of this song by Sonata Arctica called Shamandalie. It's always been one of my favorites, though the emotions it calls up are bittersweet.

Excellent poem Dew.

I agree its deeply well written . The lines were arranged by some coincidence into a upside down pawn .

And oh, how lovely are these lines;
And oh, how playfully passion flies.
Wonderful work.
Check spelling of compny and mising.

How well you weave your words with darkened threads of shadow... mingling the sweet with the painful poisons of love undone... Emotionally stunning... aching even now in the bittersweet longing...
