Forgive Me

Forgive Me

A Poem by Dewella~Vintella

Under the tree tops of hushed mountians, fires blaze.
burning, deep within consuming all.

How can I contain, wonton in its ways,
this darkness that I hold within me.
unfurling its fingers whenever its nears,
pulling at my strings, purring as it sings.

Darkness comes in the light of your horision,
why must you bring disaster in your waves.
Scented in sweet musk of the devils brother.

The willow weeps, curiously creeping into your eyes,
into my soul. Buring in shed clots, dreams forgot.
We will run, forever, closer still.
Till nothing, remains.

Such an agony singing through your words.. the beauty of what was now shedding like autumn leaves... An overwhelming pain sweeps over me.. makes me hate to think you ever went through such pain, precious friend...

Interesting. It almost seems to me like a tale from a bygone era. I see forests and creeks, a maiden fair standing alone, watching the fires blaze atop that hill you describe above. She waits for the one her darkness draws her to, a man, maybe a monster that she's been having a secret affair with. Perhaps a new dark twist on the tale of beauty and the beast?

You always write with such elegance. It's like straying into a waking dream.

As time has changed, so have I. For a long time I thought I knew who I was and where I belonged, and for a long time I constructed myself to fit inside that mold; But it seems that much like the w.. more..
