Deafening SilenceA Poem by Vin
Silence is safe, it makes no noise, no harmful words, no suicide toys. But silence proves more than shown, silence tells you you're alone. No tick of the clock, no drop of a pin, silence so heavy it's built for sin. It weighs heavy like a ball and chain tied around your ankle, a constand reminder that you live in pain. No sound is made and not one is heard, you don't say anything, not even a word. For the silence might answer, it may reply, it may make threats, make you want to die. You sit, confined by four walls, alone in silence, the darkness is its torturing alliance. The four walls drown out your screams, maybe it's a nightmare, maybe it's a dream. The silence doesn't move, it makes no sound, and into the darkness, you will slowly drown. Suffocating you, it grabs your throat, you gasp for air, which only floats. You can't breathe and you can't cry, the darkness has got you and now you must die. Now your time is through and done, you put up a good battle but silence has won. You lay in a room and made no sound, alone in the silent walls in which you drowned. © 2012 Vin |
