Snowy Island

Snowy Island

A Poem by V. P. Trujillo
"

A mutual place.

"
Snowy Island

I wanna look at you ‘till you cry

Then hold you and tell you it’s alright

We can live a life, like our dreams

Snowy Island with flowing streams

Having all the water we could ever want--near,

All the pine cones and fuzzy little bears

The biggest apartment that you ever have seen

Charlie in the back, and inside--a baby

Fires light the night and we sleep it all away

Warmth in our place, a hearth we feel

Lives to kindle, our souls reveal

Series of coincidences called fate

Serendipity was absent but did her thing

I really like this. The imagery is phenomenal and I can actually put myself in that place. Truly remarkable piece.

truly is no problem.
I can envision myself there, and you. Being together, that thought alone.. I would be happy, more than happy.
