I'm an Old Man Yet

I'm an Old Man Yet

A Poem by V. P. Trujillo
"

Lulling myself.

"

I’m an Old Man Yet

I’m like an old man in my head

My body is dying too

Not sure what I can do

I’m like an old man in my head

My soul can’t contain me,

And I am strangely

Not able to be as old as I am

I am living here lately,

As weak as I can

Why can’t I just be myself?

I’m like an old man in my head

I’m like an old man in my head

My body is dying too

Surrender my rights to you,

So I can live my life alone

And as much as I fight it

It really comes down

To the fact that I Love you

I see many matters in this write, many things that are juggled at the same time, which can easily cause the exhaustion of a person. With an injury that makes you weak and incapable of moving around, going out, experiencing and running through that field, all the while you are still young, it is like being trapped in an old man's body. In mind, while on your own, you travel far distances, in dream and fantasy, as if you've lived a thousand lives, like an old soul, remembering, speculating, connecting threads, thinking too much.. The many possibilities, the future, could be's, things you want but can't hold because of a life situation, a circumstance. You may seclude yourself to something that isn't within physical reach, for the reason being that you cannot deny the fact you feel love. If it's mutual, that feeling, you are not really alone in that world, and perhaps it's just how it is supposed to begin, like a test to see if it can subsist..

Other than that, being oneself can be a struggle for the ones that are sensitive. They feel and they think on another level. They notice everything that is going on around them, and everything that could come to happen. When they step into an unfamiliar environment with unfamiliar faces, they become overwhelmed and uneasy because of the vast layers of information and energy they are absorbing all at once. To be more relaxed however, it only takes adaptation, getting accustomed to ones new surroundings, one step at a time, and it's alright.

Your words are beautiful, Vin.

Yes, Ma'am.
As shakespeare says"Every hour we rot and rot"- yes amigo.. our soul becomes tired we become old even in this young age of noon.. "surrender"- this is the word that caught my attention. Tired,eh?? Tired of fighting life off!! "To the fact that i love you"- what happens here, how much i try i can't deny the fact that i love you. I could really con ect to it. Straight fr om your heart it touched my soul.. nice write :)
