A Dance with My Self, Writ--Away in Elements

 

Breath--in its heat,

Absorbed in me, and as

The shore recedes, cold

Wind at my feet.

 

I explain to this man,

Consciously approach him in,

A language primitive to his, though

Thought as the reverse;

I sought him out--Great Man.

 

Stifling me so, my heated

Flesh, bare and exposed in

The summer ways of this place

South East of home.

 

He shook my hand, and I his,

We did the dance which I revere him for,

That I myself can do well enough;

I felt of this component, to my own self.

Well as a dancer myself i love this piece..But you had me with the title first- i would love to dance with my ownself... ( metaphorically) .But we are too busy conforming to the ways of the world that we forget our own reflection.The vivid imagery of the shore and the sun.. well we get it here a lot. :) your words created a mantra.. Nice write.. i wanted to sing oooo la la.,and dance ★ winks★
