Lost

Lost

A Poem by V. P. Trujillo
"

through and out again.

"

I think I just feel like crashing

Falling on the floor

Through the floor

Through the other floor

Through Mother Earth

To the center,

And out back again

Till I get to a grassy field,

On the other side

Waking up, late next evening…

Warm

Everything is different

No one speaks my tongue

And there are animals here…there

Children play, and spout a language

I know nothing of

I dream of something better,

And for once, nothing

How do I loved this dreamscape.... I often had these dreams, free falling, with adrenaline top notch through my veins, shocking unconcious awake, dreaming further, analyzing the lucidity whilst dreaming, and catching up on nothing.... just to be... there. It's awesome, you describe it so well... this is perfection although you wouldn't see it like, but just to be, but to be, is perfection smiling.... so serene, so in of nothing, it is breathtaking, and just fantastic how you worked this rare feeling out. Compliments...

This is one of the more different poems I have yet to read on this site. It was interesting reading this, and I usually do not like when music plays in the background of a poem, but in this case, I thought it brought the poem to life. Your words are simplistic--no fancy descriptions-- yet you still manage to convey a good amount of imagery. I liked this poem. I am curious, however, of what you meant by the final two lines: "I dream of something better, and for once, nothing"? Otherwise, well done.

There was nothing better than that moment, that setting.

Thank you, a lot.
I like the music you chose to use with this. The poetry itself is beautiful, as well.
