Common StrandsA Poem by V. P. TrujilloAll of you, you got this thing about you.Sick body, ill-spirited Trudging through the grime Of this shared reality; So you continue, An outlet of expression For those inner parts, Of a dampened soul; I am not as affectionate I am not as verbal Not as present But I surely notice, A glitch passing by Sister’s solemn vow of
happiness As she lets down her head Effort turned work ill spent Taken from a warm wet place To the cold, where you let
your eyes hide Violence teases your tongue As the words spew, the
imagination runs Your passion suppressed, led
you to regret And one little jelly cat The list goes on, and no one
is at fault Just a collective of realities,
taking shape to be seen, heard, and felt I don’t care to read, I don’t
care to spend time I just notice you all, I observe See the commonality You expose the parts you don’t
normally show Those which sought to be
shown
A whole lot of lies, it is Paths to take
Pathetic Apathetic Empathic Psychopathic
Where I fit be damned;
choices are limitless, roads few, and ends plenty. © 2014 V. P. TrujilloAuthor's NoteFeatured Review
