Vincent's eyes slowly opened. The first thing he saw was the long stretching hallway. His head was leaning against the desk and instinctively put his hand his injured head to feel for any damage. He sighed as he took his hand away. There was only a bump where he hit his head. He tried to remember what had happened to him. It all came back to him in a flash. He got himself up and had a head rush for doing the action so fast. After he regained his eyesight and balance he took a quick survey of the room and looked down the hall once more. Seeing that there was nothing around he bolted down the hallway to the door he had come in.
He hoped that the door would suddenly be unlocked but his hopes faded when the doorknob didn't turn. Then it hit him that the music wasn't playing anymore. He hit the floor and peaked under it. From what he could see no one was on the other side. He got back to his feet and turned around to face the door that lead to the stairs. It seems like this is the only way to go now. Vincent was somewhat relieved to find that the door was unlocked. The stairway seemed to go up five stories and ended at the top to a door with an exit sign above it.
Vincent hurried up the stairs to get to the exit door and out of the building. When he got to the fourth story the sound of yelling caught his attention from behind the door. Curiosity will get this cat killed at this rate. He opened the door and stepped through. The yelling was coming from outside the building and there seemed to be a lot of people making the noise. What the-- is it a riot?

Vincent decided to go back to the parking lot and try the door downstairs again. This time he would break it down. He hurried down the stairs and, to his surprise, opened the door to the dance floor and found that it was deserted. “Hello?” Vincent called out but the only answer was a paper being blown across the floor by a fan. He noticed that the noise outside was louder. He rushed to an open window and looked outside. He was horrified by what he saw.
He was looking down on the parking lot but most of the vehicles were totaled. There was a crowd of people fighting with another group. The thing that shocked Vincent the most was how many bodies that were laying across the ground. Vincent had a feeling that something incredibly wrong was going on. He tried to get a peek at what the crowd of people were fighting against. The first thing he noticed right off was an obscured creature. It was off in the trees away from the main crowd and nobody seemed to notice it.
The creature appeared human but didn’t have arms and had pale white skin. The feet were pointed inwards and it seemed to have random spasms every couple of seconds. Neither did it have a face. Not eyes, nose, or mouth. The creature suddenly just looked in Vincent’s direction and Vincent backed from the window. He had to get out of here and get himself together. As he turned he noticed a figure on his right. It was the ghost like figure again. Vincent instinctively ran towards the door he entered through and he knew that the ghost was floating soundlessly towards him. He ran through the door that went into the hallway and straight through the door that led to the stairs.
Vincent immediately slammed the door behind him and slowly backed away from it. At the bottom of the door he could see the shadow of the ghost. The shadow just stayed at the door not moving and Vincent dared not move either. Vincent thought it was his eyes playing tricks on him when he saw that the shadow started to seem through the bottom of the door in the form of hands going towards his feet.
Vincent remembered the exit and started running to the top of the stairs. He hoped to everything that the door was not locked. As he got to the final flight of stairs he saw a creature that somewhat resembled Medusa. Its mouth was opened to an abnormal length and was staring down at him. Vincent saw that the exit was directly behind the creature and knew that the ghost was close behind. Vincent started rushing up the stairs to the monster and when he was a few steps from it he grabbed the rails on both sides of the stairs and swept himself under the monster, taking out its legs with it. The monster tumbled down the stairs as Vincent regained his balance.
Vincent looked down at where the monster had fallen and saw that it was rising again. Vincent turned and pushed the door open and immediately closed it behind him. He looked around and saw to directions in which he could go. Somewhat to his left and ahead of him was a brick lain path but he could here screams coming from there that was still some distance away. To his right was another, smaller building, that was built on to the warehouse. Vincent decided to bolt for the building and hoped it didn’t have anymore unwanted surprises. When he got to the door he found in unlocked. He entered the building and saw that it resembled the office room that he was in at the warehouse. The entrance hallway broke into two separate halls. He cautiously walked to look down both hallways when he jumped to the noise of something banging. At first he thought it was one of the monsters from before coming through the door he had entered but then realized that the noise was from a nearby door.
The door from which the noise came from was cracked open. The room was dimly lit and Vincent could see some movement. He could see legs laying on the ground behind a desk. Vincent gulped and looked around for a weapon. Behind the door was a crowbar and he picked it up silently. He slowly opened the door in a crouching position and entered the room. He saw a hand appear from behind the desk. It seemed to be searching the body for something.
Vincent got his crowbar ready and darted around the corner to swing at whatever thing it was. “Wait!” Vincent froze when he saw that the person hunched over the body was the woman from earlier. She held a gun in her hand with two magazines. Vincent looked at the dead person on the floor that wore a security guard and Vincent recognized him as the guard from when he first got to the warehouse. It was the guard that warned him of dangers in the warehouse in the first place.
Vincent noticed that there was a knife in the body and realized that the guard must have been killed moments ago. The woman must have noticed that Vincent was noticing all of this because she finally said, “This isn’t what it looks like. I swear.” “Are you sure? Because this looks like a dead guy with a knife in him and all evidence seems to point to you.” Vincent kept the crowbar in a striking position just in case if the woman tried to pull the same thing on him the she did on the security guard. She stood up. “I’m telling you, I didn’t kill him.” Now Vincent was starting to think that the woman thought he was just plain stupid. The woman walked up to Vincent and grabbed him on the shoulders. She looked into his eyes with her cold, ice. colored eyes. Her eyes were incredibly strange because of the way here pupils were. Even in the darkly lit room her pupils were still closed as if she were looking towards the sun.
“You must understand what I’m about to tell you. This crazy stuff that is going on is nothing ordinary. Reality is screwed over and nothing is as it seems anymore. Ghost, monsters, creatures, everything. This guard was alive but was wounded by a scratch. Just like in zombie movies he died and came back to life as a zombie. I stabbed him but he didn’t stop so I took his gun and shot him in the head. Just like in zombie movies, he went down. I was just checking him for ammo and a radio. Unfortunately, security guards don’t carry radios that have anything more that a half-mile radius.”
