DebtA Story by Vince_SalvatoreA Drug dealer is pressured by his biker friend to assist him with a job.DEBT On a nice summer afternoon, a young man is in his backyard enjoying the nice weather with a beer in his hand, his cell phone on the table and rock music playing. His cell phone starts ringing. The call display reads: “Otto”. “It’s about time,” he thought. He answers the phone. “Hello”. “Hey, Johnny how you doin’?” Otto said. “Good, Good. You got the product?” Johnny asked. “Ya, you look’ en to score?” Otto asked. “Yes! The merch' ran this last week,” Johnny replied. “Alright, I will come bye with a package in a little while. Have the paper ready for me,” Otto said. “Will do my friend,” Johnny said then closed the phone. It’s been almost thirty minutes. Johnny’s taping his foot on the ground growing inpatient. His connect seemed to be taking his sweet time getting to his place. Then he heard the roaring sound of a motorcycle. Johnny runs to his driveway. Otto was parking his motorcycle. He was warring his bicker club's colors. They greet each other and move their business to the backyard. Johnny hands Otto an envelope filled with cash. Otto counts it. Johnny makes a joke: “What, don’t trust me?” Both men laughed. Otto hands Johnny a package. “100 Oxy,” Otto said. Johnny went inside to weight the package and examine the content. He was pleased his order was all there. Johnny returns to his back yard. Otto had taken a set and helped himself to a beer. “You off today?” Otto asked. Johnny said he was. Otto then the pressure’s Johnny to go with him on a job. Johnny knows is club business, and he doesn’t want to get his hands dirty. He was reluctant but Otto won’t take no for an answer and won’t tell him anything about the mission. They take Johnny’s car and drive to a house a few hours away. Johnny had a bad feeling on the whole drive there. However, he hid his true feelings from Otto. Looking at the skull patch on his vest to reminding himself Otto earned the patch because he killed for his club and Johnny had no intention of being his next victim. They arrived. There weren’t any neighbors for a few miles. They knock on the door. A young guy couldn’t have been older than 19 answers the door. Otto plus out a gun and presses it against his forehead as he forces his way in. Johnny locks the door behind him. The kid started begging for his life. Otto asked him for the money on the debt he owes. Kid sides he doesn’t have it. Otto pistol whips the side of his face. The kid grips the wall to keep his balance. “I guess, I’ll take what’s in the house,” Otto said. Otto then zip tied the kid to the staircase. He began looting the place and breaking what they could not take. Otto yelled at Johnny for moving at a mellow passé. But Johnny felt that what they were doing was wrong.
