Angry Routinism

Angry Routinism

A Poem by Vincent

"
You freeze in the morning rain
Yet your guts are boiling inside
The anger like a sick feeling
Impalpable, yet omnipresent
Embarked in an all-round hate
You make an enemy of everyone
Overtaken by the unexpressed
Your emotions killing you internally
Festering and plaguing you whole
Like a widely spread infection

Anger breeds more anger

Stop the cycle

The imagery is befitting to the emotion of anger. There is a mixture of cold and hot causing one to feel terribly ill. The 'freezing in the morning rain' in contrast with 'guts are boiling inside' indicates it well. It is as though the mind is not in control of the body. The disequilibrium is initially too strong to obliterate willfully and instantly. I cannot imagine how short-tempered people appease themselves.

Anger is a secondary term for contempt, to me. it is worse than contempt in my opinion, as anger can be felt against both loved and hated people.

There is a saying i'd like to share, "anger is the feeling that makes your mouth work faster than your mind." The cycle must stop indeed.
