Entrapment

Entrapment

"
Entrapments and endearments
A cagelike soul, a jaillike mind
The words and the little they can do
To bring relief and to scar forever
To starve the body and feed the soul
The endless labyrinthal tricks
The flesh suffering and the brain rejoicing
The painful dichotomy of the human
Vast illusions stuck in a affective machine
The madness starts here. Action!

i agree that there is a dichotomy in all human beings, and one who contemplates it will surely go mad. we are pulled in two different directions all the time and sometimes we begin to question our judgement. however you won't have one without the other no matter what. a very thought-provoking poem.
