I hope I have already told you about Rumours App. One that pays for your articles, write-ups and even view of other's posts.

I was posting some stories and articles whenever I get time. The editors picked my article couple of times as favorite or top read.

I was contacted by many fellow writers regarding offers, help/advices. 

Recently Rumours has asked me to compile my works and as an advance offered me $750. Not that it is  a big amount, but I'm getting such an amount for my writing! Never imagined.

I'm a person who believe that money is very important as it brings food to your table. Nothing more and nothing less.

They also offered me to invite some of my friends. They have promised me to pay those who join with my referral link from the very first write-up.

I agree that most writers want to earn money, that's how success is measured in this world. Being old & ready to drop, I don't care about money. I'm just writing to save my life a little longer. That's why I've never checked out your "Rumours" invites . . . but this time, the way you present your case is persuasive & I think I'll go check this out now . . . well-expressed sell job here! Ha ha! at this stage, I think youu can earn and support all the causes that you believe in. Plus I believe your presence is valuable there. It takes time to get noticed there, may be 1 month. But your works will be treasured

It's not very easy to navigate, but I'll work on it, a little at a time. I want to try posting different things there, not the same as what I post here, so I have to let the ideas percolate a little before I post something . . .

OK, now that I've spent more time, here are my impressions. To me, the articles posted (generally speaking) are similar to what people would find in magazines, often "how-to" and "you-should" messages, which I'm not interested in reading. This feels like a bunch of rehashed articles. I'm not seeing alot of originality or brightness or writing excellence. This feels like a competition for "likes" -- not too different from FB, except that my expectation was to find good writing, but I haven't found much of that so far. The reason I have not written for magazines is becuz I can't stand the shallow opinionated sanitary-packaged sound bytes of popular culture which I could never write. Sorry I'm not into this, but I can see how it would be tempting & even addictive.
