The skeptic

The skeptic

A Poem by Vin

Can you tell me what to write?
I wanna ask each and everyone!
So that life of all will be better
and the world around will be even sweeter.

I don't want to announce my love
neither I want to lament my heart-break.
what is the meaning of art
if it's not good to the world we live.

I want to share my voyages
and awe folks with my adventures;
I have a thousand stories to tell
which can astound all around.

I can write my love, my foes
my ecstasy and even my solace-
but only if it spreads a light
to me within and the mankind.

Either I will not write
or I will make the readers bloom.
I feel what we create
shall serve souls not ego.
This is what that monk told me
do the needy or shut it all up!

So tell me the words and rhymes
that give bliss to the world
and spread grace to our lives,
that excites the humanity
and make the mankind close eyes
and find the succour there is!

Can you tell me what to write?
I wanna ask each and everyone!
So that life of all will be better
and the world around will be even sweeter.

LOVE...

I really enjoy the message of positivity in this. Also like the idea of the freedom of a wandering soul. Here it seems to be a freedom that leaves the speaker open to loving all things. A great message there.

Many writers want to change lives with their writing, but in my experience, the ones who actually DO impact lives are the ones who are not trying to do so. I think having such a burning goal to help people can get in one's way . . . people with such a strong goal can come across as preachy or annoyingly rah! rah! I believe in taking a few steps back from your burning writing goal & just let your stories tell themselves. Don't try to predict or guide how a reader interprets you. The path of life lessons is crooked & unpredictable. People may go left when you think they should go right, but all paths end up in similarly perfect places for whatever journey is at hand. You strike me as having too much of a controlling approach toward writing. You can't control how people interpret you or feel about your writing. If you are a genuinely positive person, then just be yourself. Let your own light shine as an example & trust God to open the hearts that need opening (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I understand this sentiment. I always start out with good intentions, before they take on a dark twist. Loves labors lost is an overused topic, but we could all use some more love. Nice write vin

Thanks! Glad you commented
Very nice poem about wanting to get along with other humans. I don't think this world can ever be happy I am afraid.

This was heartily written.
I admire the thoughts, I cherish the idea, I love the settings and those powerful points.
You really belabored much on what we as writers have to impact on our world and reasons why we have to change it for the better.

Nice job, Vin.

i wish it was easier to write happy stuff...i hate writing all the time about pain, love lost etc.
i wish our writing could make people listen and make things change so the world is better...

but alas...but it appears the only one listening to the poet...are other poets...
peace and love...we have to hope.
i like this write...i like your questioning....and only can wish i had the answer for the speaker.

I think a hard thing for us writers to do is to pour our emotions into a piece but at the same time make it enjoyable for others. Reaching a larger audience and making them feel a particular emotion is the goal. I relate to this a lot since I've been writing a lot more. You are doing a great job so far. Keep it up!

Much Love

I don’t believe I can tell you what to write. In order for it to be authentic what you write must come from your heart, your mind, your soul.
