Grey Tide

Grey Tide

A Poem by Gimmic the Victor

the gray tide began to rise
upon the golden shore.
cold and damp
she sat
watching the gray
mingle with the shimmering sand
clouds heavy with rain
burst and fell
she hung her head,
closing her eyes.
so numb with cold
she collapsed
lying upon
gold dust
she gleamed softly
as the sun shone through
dark clouds
her eyes opened briefly
to see the sun
illuminate the dark
she smiled
