feathers

I miss you so much. Especially your hair, the way it falls across your face when you're drawing and building stories with your hands.
I miss the way you'd look off to the side, and your brow, how it slouches above your eye.
I'll never forget the way your feathered eyelashes lay across your lids, slightly curling at the ends, they reminded me of fireflies.
I remember when you grew out your beard and your lips stood out, soft and pale.
I miss the way your shoulders were shaped, the way your arms curved in a spiral, when I would face your back, while sleeping next to you.
I miss the constellation of beauty marks across your collarbone and neck that would only peak out when you would wear flannels. And when you'd take them off, shirtless I kissed your bare chest, with just a few hairs in a little bermuda triangle and on your tummy.
I liked that you had imperfections.
