I have experienced that you don’t need a vacation at the beach or a visit to a wellness resort to feel better and relaxed. What you need are words.

Just pick up a good book. Talk to someone you love and trust. And if none of these are possible, close your eyes and think of words that bring you comfort.

Going on vacation, shopping, watching a movie, or indulging in other pleasures can be comforting, but there may be times when you don’t have the energy or resources to do these things. Even if you have all the money in the world to buy the most luxurious experiences, you may not be able to repeat them during the most challenging times in your life�"when you need them the most.

So, keep the words spoken by someone or even yourself close to your heart. You may need them more often than you think, and they may benefit you the most. Most importantly, words last. You can pass them on, and they will travel across generations without losing their value.
