My Dearest Dad ~

It won't rhyme, It just holds special moments which passed by - My Dad My Hero.

It was your Aroha
Which got me, into your life
You're there when I was born
You hold me intact and felt me tight with a smile
I was One when you bought me my 1st toy
I cried, I cried, I cried.
You always hugged me close and tight
When I was Two you took me to the park side
As I keep growing young
You kept growing old by my side
It was love which kept enhancing
Towards me from your heart deep inside
When I turned up Sixteen
You got me my favourite watch
I looked up and said thank you & I forgot to hug you
As it went time passed by until I was Twenty-Four
My mood went high
I laughed at you
I even made fun sometimes

You made me a Man (Independent & Educated) 
I never knew what it takes to be a Father
Until I turned up one
I got married 
I even fought, Yelled several times
You told me "Beta (Son) - Calm Down it’s your turn to be a father"
Next Year I became one (I’m a Father now)
Those old days came jiffy and your life just Rewind
Now when I hold my daughter in my hands
I felt the same you felt that time.
You gave your sleep, you food & even your time.
I can't pay you back those days
but now I guarantee you I won't hurt anymore.

Love you Paa, even more :)

Singh, my own father passed away 20 years ago-this made me think of him, it's a wonderful feeling to be a father and I hope you enjoy your children as much as I have mine, I am a grandfather now but have not lost my enthusiasim for life. Keep writing,nice work.

Sometimes emotions..our feelings come out beautifully when we write..
The same is the case with this piece of urs..
I loved this not only because its on fathers... I loved it also because, it has so much truth in it... We only know, how sometimes we treat our parents, but even after that also they love us like we did nothing..

Its just blessing that we have parents.. And its being a bigger blessing to u, that you are a parent urself now :)

Awesome poem! Singh you're about the sweetest guy I've ever met. Everyone one this site should friend you but then you wouldn't get any work of your own done so skip that idea. Father's Day's kinda weird for me but I'll spare you. This really was a great poem.
