I Have Misplaced My Reality

I Have Misplaced My Reality

A Poem by Vikingche

I have misplaced my reality.
The star's smile turns to profanity.
Walls are ceilings.
My fingers are suddenly two joints shorter.
Maybe it's in the drawer, my reality. Or is that a cave?
I can't quite see through this sticky lightning dream.
Awake is asleep, but I see you in my dreams where my eyes are finally open.
Running across Christmas light tightrope lines-in space.
Running through space?
I have misplaced my reality.
It must have slipped off my feet, much like a pair of socks for a bigger man.
It must have slipped off my feet-fallen into the tub, whirl pool?
How could I be spinning in reverse?
I sway to digitized, drowning music; its ripping me apart.
I have misplaced my reality. Now, I'm floating within-standing atop-hiding beneath-crouching beside-nothing.

I love the line: I have misplaced my reality. I also like the line I sway to the digitized, drowning music; its ripping me apart. Music not only rips us apart but it also rebuilds us and shapes our reality. Very good. Enjoyed it.
