Current of ignoranceA Poem by VictoriaSwimming in circles isn't right Endlessly trying to reach the end Fighting to keep up with your smile Racing against the current I fall down in the deep You stay up floating The glimmer in your words sinks I breathe better down here Where no light is None of your glimmer Is that what drowning is? Or is it salvation? The water tickles gently Your words remain up in their blazing light of blindness In that bubble floating up and up Mine sink down here In the dark but clear I keep closing my eyes I keep trying to whisper something from afar As if you would understand even if I was there So I keep my lips shut Wouldn't it hurt you? To go down here For someone with your bubble To pop loudly and reveal the waters of the world
