Midnight Musings

Midnight Musings

A Poem by Victoria Glass
"

Can't sleep because your characters are chatting too much? I know how you feel.

"

Midnight musings

I give credit to losing

Half a good night's sleep

Stories fill the corners of my mind

Dotting my vision until I am blind

Places and people in my gaze

My thoughts become a colorful haze

How can I rest with all this?

Can't you see that it's pure bliss?

But, eventually, I must give in

To my body's need above the din

Of the wonderful stories

In my head

Now they sing me to my bed

And fade into the dark....

I really enjoyed reading this, for me it was very relatable. Its amazing how susceptible people are to their own imaginations when they are alone at night. It was interesting that I stumble on this because I've actually recently written something somewhat similar to this poem.
