Christmas Snow

Christmas Snow

A Poem by Victoria Lee~

Christmas Snow

Millions of shimmering snowflakes

Falling from the sky

Each and every snowflake

Is a unique and frozen work of art

Made from Angels way above us

Sent down to us with love

From those we loved and lost

As a way of showing

They really are still with us

As they live within our hearts

Angels cannot send greeting cards

To spread the Christmas cheer

So the Angels gather in the heavens

to create their snowflake art

  when the moments perfect

  when the world needs hope

 Angels let their shimmering snowflakes

Fall slowly from the sky

It is our loved ones way of telling us

How much we mean to them

The snow is falling softly

This perfect Christmas Eve

I dance a joy of wonder

On the freshly fallen snow

I sing thank you to the heavens

For this Christmas gift of love

Merry Christmas to you and yours

For you Dad and  David~

It's a fine Hallmark card. ;-)

"As they live within our heart" -- add an "s" at the end.

I don't see anything else wrong with this piece of Christmas charm. Unique snowflakes as angelic Christmas greetings is a beautiful seasonal idea.

Have the Merriest of Christmases and amazing 2009, and thanks for lovely Holiday Cheer!

I absolutely LOVE this! I got a great image of Angles flying high into the heavens and creating snow with their magic. Very nice. I also like it when you express the angels as our loved one's who have died, and they send the snow to us letting us know they are still here. It reminds me of my great uncle who passed away last year. I really enjoyed it, great job. =]

That's the problem with Christmas poems. There are so many of them, it is hard to separate your words. This was beautifully written, plus I always rate 100%. Truthfully, this would make a great Hallmark card, and that's in your favor. Merry Christmas, Victoria. Rain..

"And when the moment's perfect"
"And when the world needs hope"

the word "and" isn't needed here and removing it helps smooth the flow. The same holds true for the word "the" before Angels in the following line.

just an example. generally words such as "the" "this" "it" "that" "and" can be removed or a line slightly reworded to remove them. It would take away that Hallmark feel you got from the piece.

that said lol it is a beautiful thought to keep throughout the season, when one seems to feel that pain of a lost loved one so much more keenly. there is always something magical in a Christmas Eve snow :)

*hugs*

What can I say, I think it is spectacular... just like us snowflakes are heaven sent... for just like the snowflake we are all different and beautiful in our own way... a very joyous and inspirational piece.
