A heart

They say a heart wants what it wants

Love cannot be reasoned with

They say love is blind

To any faults of the beloved

A heart may want what it wants

As it refuses to see what it may need to see

If a heart kept a suspicious mind

It might see another possible heartbreak

And it would avoid the pain that may lie ahead

But a heart cannot see, it can only feel

A heart has to trust and believe

A heart has to have faith

When a heart hides behind

a wall of pain

Afraid to try again

A soul becomes jaded

And the heart starts to beat

a little slower

A heart gives up hope

Faith is lost

And a heart lets go of

another chance

Take the chance

Let the heart want

Let love be blind

Never lose faith

No one is meant to

walk this life alone

Everybody needs somebody

And that somebody needs you

Oh Vic you took the words right out of my mouth... when it comes to love you can't let past relationships effect a current one and you can't make the current person in your life pay for others sins... in any nee relationship should be like look ing through a childs eyes.

Wow..I must say that is, well beautiful. I really do agree with this too. It reminds me a bit about life, you could stay safe inside your house and not experience anything or you can actually go out there and see everything and learn so many new things. I really, really liked this one though!

The arc of spark between the romantic heart and the spiritual Heart is the poise, the wonder-space between breaths.

The more these two primal considerations become One, the sounder is the connection, the less rebounding occurs.

I feel the very essence of that faith you express IS spiritual intelligence counseling the more vulnerable personal risk. This "blindness" is not so much a foolishness as an intuition of the gesture required to complete a circle from inner to outer, to corroborate in the world what the spiritual Heart already knows, a priori, infinite relating to finite. Love IS.

Expressing that Love to the other in the world of time is spirituality meeting romance in close embrace.

it is such a paradox that in order to know love, one of life's blessings, one must open themselves up for the possbilty of hearbreak, one of life's curses. something I think everyone can relate to for who has not known a broken heart? I don't know about love being blind exactly, I like to think it is more that love is accepting of another, for themselves and that encompasses all of who they are, the good and the bad. it is so easy to withdraw within ourselves after we've been hurt, and sometimes even a necessary evil for a time, in order to heal. you are so right that one's soul becomes jaded if we do not once again find a way to trust and take that chance once again. yes there may be more pain ahead, but who can resist the possibility that love might be the reward?
