This desert life..A Poem by Victoria Lee~
Rain
Current mood: melancholy
Just a ramble..
The sun on a hot Phoenix day shining in all intensity of hot ray of light
Penetrating your very soul and making you grateful for a drop of water
Water….without water….. there would not be life…
Rain…rain brings life……….
A bolt of lightning strikes the ground on a hot summer night and strikes a spark to the ground beneath it lighting a fire that burns for days.
Water….without water….. there would not be life…
Rain…rain brings life……….
....
....
A fire burns out of control, destroying everything that gets in the way… Man cannot seem to stop a fire out of control. Those that live in the path of the fire pray for rain.....
Water….without water….. there would not be life…
Rain…rain brings life back to the charred desert soil and clears the smoke the clouds our vision……….
....
Lives are lost in a tragedies we cannot understand.
Grief burns like the fire that is out of control
Let it rain down
Let it rain down
And blend with our tears
....
Tears fill the lakes
that merge with the rivers
As we cry grateful for that drop of water
Because without water….
there would not be life…
....
And through our tears
A grief filled mind has hope that the rain
Will bring back life to charred a heart like the rain does to a scorched desert,
So that life will go on…
....
Someday.....
Till then our grieving soul longs for that drop of water
on a hot Phoenix day
As we watch the smoke from the fire cloud our vision
Losing site of the Phoenix rising from the ashes
As grief never let's us forget…
What could have been…
....
Let it rain down
Let it rain down
Let our tears
Fill the lakes
that merge with the rivers
Water is life
And life goes on
Someday..............
As the Phoenix rises from the ashes
and waits patiently for a grief stricken mind to take notice
that life will always go on
