Going homeA Poem by Victoria Lee~
Going Home
The car feels like its flying
yet I am only driving A trail of dust is all I leave behind of Forgiving myself for past mistakes
Knowing I will never be as perfect as I want to be I can only be me And that's ok I am free from those that judge me
and see only what they want to see
Laughing as the mile markers past right by
Leaving seven years of bad luck
looking forward to only what the future brings Thoughts of bridges left burning
Peace in knowing I was not the one that started the fire Knowing, it's ok to walk away Threw my cards on the table
Listened to my guardian angel, who told me, Baby, it's time to hit the road Time to let go of that heavy load
The weight on my shoulder is lifted
As I drive to the only place I'll ever call home
My spirit is soaring
Ghost's from the past have finally been set free I am free to be me I'm singing my song
Leaving the past behind me I make my final getaway Keep on driving Like the Phoenix rising I'm going home yeah, I'm going home © 2008 Victoria Lee~Featured Review
