Solo Snowflake

Solo Snowflake

A Poem by NFA

Solo snowflake

Of quilted patterns

Whose brisk angles and edges

And crystalline ridges

Inspire.

Gentle snowflake

In feathered descent,

You search for a poet

And fare an ocean of

Faces.

Glinting snowflake

You’re nearing a hand

Stretched out to grab you in

To catch your ideas then

Melted.

I just love this poem...it is certainly the way a real poet will approach that single snowflake for inspiration....and often the ideas melt away before we can get them on paper.

Aye, snowflakes do seem to carry inspiration that melts into our souls. Beautiful images. Well written, my friend.
