My Past Love

My Past Love

A Poem by NFA
"

I was in class last night and saw someone who reminded me of a lost love I used to know.

"

Brush away

Your velvet hair

So I can stare,

Deep in your eyes.

There, passed windows’ glare,

For certain my

Past still heaves its

Breast with breaths of

Not your sweet love, but

A hidden love,

An exiled love

Of my past love

Thanks to you, my dove

And your

Present beauty.

A reminder of a past love and felt so deeply too. She has left quite an impression on you, if you see her in the face of others. Beautiful composition.

She really did. The residual effects of our relationship still weigh on me. I deal with it even now.

Yes, I can understand that.
I'm sure most of us will have some kind of stories about a "hidden love" or an "exiled love", and you have written it quite nicely.

Thank you for your kind comment, Mary Jain.
"An exiled love..."
I remember a time when I felt as one exiled, cast out from the presence of she who meant the most to me.
Well written, Sir.

this is so interesting...I really like it....the middle is such strong imagery...
We love so strongly sometimes...that the love seems to be reborn in others we see.
